hmm.. well there is this girl, we crossed paths months ago. she's realli the sweetest girl. great times we had together, though i must say during the time i wasnt having the best time of my life, encountered many personal problems, but she was always there to pick mi up no matter how hard i fell, it din matter whether was a graze on my knee, or a deep cut in my foot she was always beside mi.

i love every moment with her..

As I was in a half parked position since his dutiful wife was standing in the lot, he stopped in the middle of the driveway, came out of the car, took stock of the situation and waved me along, asking me to find another lot since his wife came first!? OMG!? What kind of world is this? I said "No way! How can anyone do this? AND get away with it?" To which he even dared to say, "Surely you have seen people do this before!!!!???"

I told him that they were being unreasonable. He denied being so and said instead that i was the one being unreasonable. We argued for a few minutes, passers-by came and went and eventually cars started to pile up behind and were honking.

Cursing my own damn luck to meet this couple, i swallowed my pride and moved off so as not to obstruct traffic. I did find a lot after i moved off and gladly parked in it.

As I walked to the lobby, I caught sight of the couple and went towards them, demanding an apology. They shoo-ed me off and warned me of harassing them, even threatening to call the police. I told them they epitomised the true blue ugly Singaporean to which he answered, "Sorry to disappoint you but I'm not Singaporean". Obviously a crowd of curious shoppers took notice. He showed me the middle finger and told me to "fuck OFF!"

The research behind the 3G No.4 combat uniform.

The Camo..
a. Pixelised Pattern. Research was done to see how the defined boundary lines in the current camouflage pattern could be replaced to improve the camouflage capability of the combat uniform. Pixels were used to break up boundary lines and to generate a quivering effect. This affects the ability of the eye to see solid lines and the brain to detect recognisable shapes, resulting in a slower detection rate of the pixelised camouflage pattern at short distances (micro-pattern). Viewed at longer distances, the pixelised camouflage works just like the traditional camouflage which comprises pattern shapes (macro-pattern). Overall, it was found that the new pixelisation technique reduced our soldiers’ risk of detection.

b. Colour and Shades. Extensive research was done to determine the combination of colour and shades used in the new combat uniform. The research involved capturing images in various operating environments at different distances and lighting conditions, for feature analysis and colour selection. These images were segmented into pixels to generate the patterns used in the uniform's design. Field trials were then conducted to fine-tune the design and colour of the camouflage patterns.

c. Night Camouflage. In developing the camouflage uniform, it was noted that night vision devices negated the effects of pixelisation by showing all colours in the camouflage pattern as a single tone. To counter detection by night vision devices, the material used in the new SAF combat uniform was given Near Infra-red (NIR) treatment to ensure that every colour in the camouflage pattern reflected a different wavelength. This maintains the pixelised camouflage effect when viewed through night vision devices.

The trials involving different terrain and distances in both day and night conditions showed that the new camouflage pattern was significantly more effective than the current one.

The Comfort... The Feel..
Compared to the current uniform, the new fabric has higher permeability for better air flow. It also has an enhanced wicking ability which allows the quick transfer of moisture from the soldier's body to the outer surface of the uniform. This enables perspiration to evaporate at a faster rate, allowing greater heat dissipation, and increased comfort.

The new combat uniform is designed to be highly functional as well. It aims to ergonomically integrate with the soldier’s personal equipment. The design removes pressure points on the soldier's body and protects it against abrasion from use of body armour. It also allows for knee and elbow guards to be secured to the uniform and has additional pockets for storage. These features have been proven to optimise the soldier's performance in the field.

Here are some interesting facts.

No known species of reindeer can fly. But with 300,000 species of living organisms (mostly insects and bacteria) yet to be classified, flying reindeer - which only Santa has seen - cannot be ruled out.

675,000 tons travelling at 650 miles per second creates massive air-resistance, like that of a space probe re-entering the atmosphere. Rudolph, who leads the pack, will face friction that generates 14.3 quintillion joules of energy. Per second! In fact he will explode instantaneously, exposing the next reindeer to the same experience. These explosions will cause deafening sonic booms as the whole team is vaporised in less than five thousandths of a second. Past experiences in leading a successful team, told mi that contribution does not just mean attendance by other members meaning they are there for the sake of it. They need to pump in effort, boost spirit and create opportunities, otherwise they will cause the team to slow down, fall, fail, collapse, in other words will screw up what the Real Team Members have nurtured.

where's mum and dad when i need them now.. sometimes i just wonder whether its just a stupid thing to do to leave mum and dad just to have freedom here in singapore.. is the distance too far?? maybe should have tried a boarding school/ school hostel in nz first before making such a trip...

the first few weeks, in singapore by myself aint too bad.. got settled down and stuff.. made a few great friends.. life suddenly became tough for mi, i was still green... din know wat the other side world was like, tot i knew enough through growing up in new zealand.. life got difficult, the people, the enviroment, just the surrounding..

and till now its still harsh.. dunno wats making life just so crap..

the beijing trip, it took mi to a new level of thinking.. but suprisingly it wasnt during the trip.. was after the trip.. made mi realise wht this world is seriously like... it aint for the weak..

'Tests are being carried out to see if it has been used recently or has been involved in any shooting attacks.'

The raid in a Naples suburb was part of an operation against the Gionta crime family of the Camorra, the port city's version of the Mafia.

Officers from the paramilitary Carabinieri police also seized two ordinary handguns, ammunition, bullet-proof vests, drugs and cash.

A 28-year-old man was arrested during the raid in the Torre Annunziata area but several other suspected gang members escaped.

OMG.. i slept TOO MUCH!!!

last night from 7pm.. slept too 9pm didnt get up from bed.. then continued slpin to
1am.. wanted to get up and call baby.. BUT.. didnt know the alarm passcode, so couldnt disarm it. then woke up at 7am, cos mum aasked whether i wanna head to work with her,then i said wanna sleep!! haha man, so nice to slp luh!! cos is like very windy outside.. slept till 9am.. still didnt wanna get up.. kinda cozy on my bed inside my thick wool duvet.. then finally woke up at 11:54am..

gosh man. wadda sleeping adventure! slept for like 18 hours, in singapore that would be like my 2 almost 3 nights of sleep!!
